Bathroom Design Inspiration

bathroominspiration1Great use of painted wood floor when it was a little tired and needed an update but did not want to replace it.

Great mix of materials using concrete countertops, vessel sinks and bridge faucets.  Bathroom takes on both a cottage and beach feel. Great Little Pool bath for Manhattan Beach Interior Design. bathroominspiration2

Clean materials using Calcutta Marble, polished chrome fixtures, subway tile and a nice Hex tile on the floor.  I think a great way to show that mixing patterns create interest and texture.  A comment I hear in many of my presentations is “isn’t that going to be too busy?”  My answer after a deep breath is–lets not be predictable, step at least a little outside your comfort zone and have faith in your designer.  Mixing materials, module sizes and textures creates design that is more memorable.  Bathroom has a great open and peaceful feel.

bathroominspiration3I seem to be doing a lot more freestanding tubs in projects because I think we are all tired of the huge marble slabs with the inset tub.  I encourage you to consider it in your floor plan if it makes sense for the project.  I also like to use stained grade interior windows when applicable.  Don’t always paint your interior trim white.  I am very interested in exposing clients to using colors on doors and trim.  Palos Verdes Estates Interior Design would lend itself to looking at this style.
