I am very excited to be working on exciting project with Tomaro Architecture in Manhattan Beach. Louie Tomaro AIA and Norman Design Group have teamed up to design a beautiful Cape Cod custom home nestled in the Eucalyptus trees of Palos Verdes Estates. I will be showing you some of the projected and conceptualized interior detailing of the home in the post. Presently the slab will be poured in the next few weeks, so it is very early, but I can’t wait to show you the details to what sure will be a stunning home.

Here is the front and back views of the home from Tomaro Architecture showing the classic elements of a Cape Cod Home. Below is the detailing I want to implement into the Library of the home. I will use Walnut slightly stained warmer than natural. It will have the wood nail details at the intersection of the panels so represent some old charm and character. I also chose this pattern because the clients want a more of a casual feel and I think this grid pattern is a little more today and casual than the expected raised panel details.

This library is off the Dining Room so I selected these doors that would be a focal point when closed for privacy or when the
clients entertain in the Dining Room. Norman Design Group teamed with Kaplan Gehring McCarroll Architectural Lighting to design and place lighting that will graze the front of these doors when closed to showcase the incredible texture. These will be a great design feature whether it is day or night. One of the many details I am excited about in this Palos Verdes Estates Interior Design project.
Concept for front entry with design elements of higher than normal wainscoting to add a dramatic touch and I wanted to do a black finish on the stair case rather than the standard expected white for the Palos Verdes Estates Interior Design Project. I have also included the Cad detail of the entry wood floor with limestone grid. This house will have a lot of wood flooring and I always feel too much of a good thing can become a bad thing. So I try to break things up with material but still maintain flow. So here you see in the front entry a grid pattern with oversized squares of slab limestone. Adjusting the grid a touch allowed for maximum usage of the limestone stone slab and saved the client lots of money.

Norman Design Group was hired to design all of the interior architecture of the house. What makes us unique, is our ability to deliver detailed CAD drawings of our design intent so that the contractor can build in a nice flow and is aware of the overall detailing. It offers the clients a peace of mind that the house has been well thought out and gives them the ability to obtain precise bids because of the level of detail and specifications provided.

Shown above is the staircase , higher wainscot I mentioned , and the flooring detail in CAD format. I feel we make life easier for the homeowner, contractor and architect when I can get involved early.

Here is a preview of the Boys Room and the detailing I did on the bunk beds. This room will have a playful feel with accessibility to a loft for a secret hideout from their sisters. Tile detailing is shown for their bathroom floor in this Palos Verdes Estates Cape Cod Home. The interior design for this project is going to be lots of fun!

Yes, it is going to be a stunning home. I would love to work with your company on this kind of project. We install wall upholstery for beautiful homes in the United States.
